The Directors of Elite Security UK Limited. recognise the statutory duties on employers, employees, visitors and sub-contractors under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 - the management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1992 and all other relevant Acts and Regulations.
To enable these statutory duties to be carried out, it is the policy of Elite Security UK Limited, so far as reasonably practical to prevent personal injury and damage to property.
To ensure that responsibilities for Health, Safety & Welfare are properly assigned and fulfilled at all levels.
It is therefore the intention of this company, so far as reasonably practicable, to ensure that:
1. The provision and maintenance of plant, equipment and systems of work are safe and without risks to health.
2. Arrangements for use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances are safe.
3. Adequate information and training is available detailing the conditions and precautions necessary to secure the health, safety and welfare of all employees, visitors and sub-contractors.
4. All necessary safety devices and protective equipment is available and used according to manufacturers and suppliers instructions.
5. All managers and nominated employees are responsible for ensuring that the policy is effectively implemented by carrying out risk assessments and making periodical checks i.e. (daily/weekly/monthly/annually) and deal with problems as they arise.
6. Every employee at work will take necessary steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of himself/herself and all other persons who may be affected by his/her act omissions.
7. The working environment of all employees is safe and without risks to health and that adequate provisions are made for welfare and first aid.
The Director having overall responsibility for health and safety will ensure the policy is appraised and updated as necessary following liaison with their health & safety advisors. Any such changes will be notified to all employees and sub contractors.
